Making Time for Massage: Pleasure in Your Busy Life
One of the most frequent question we receive is "Who has time for massage in their busy life?"
We believe everyone can make time for sharing massage at home. Massage does not need to be an hour long to be effective.
Our videos teach effective sequences for 5 parts of the body - arms and hands, legs and feet, shoulders and back and butt. These sequences can all be done in 5 or 10 minutes if you want a massage quickie- a nice practice is to set aside 10 or 20 minutes, and then each take a turn requesting one area of the body to be touched. Set a timer for 5 or 10 minutes - and see - this doesn't mean rush through and do as many strokes as possible. We show you strokes that feel good and are effective, no matter how many times you do them. 3 slow, focused strokes is way better than 20 rushed and clumsy strokes. Time seems to expand when receiving massage - five minutes on the timer will feel like way longer.
These short periods of massage are an excellent opportunity to practice making requests - checking in with body and figuring out what you would most like. As you continue to exchange massage together, you will be able to ask for more and more specific kinds of massage, which is an excellent way to begin naming your specific needs and desires.
If you wish, you can combine these sequences for a full body massage. At the end of the course, we will demonstrate how to work them all together.
